Department Of Mechanical Engineering

 Head Of The Deapartment

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where creativity meets engineering excellence. Our department focuses on equipping students with strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and problem-solving skills to innovate and contribute to the ever-evolving fields of manufacturing, automation, and design.

Name.

About The Department

Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2010. It takes pride in being one among the three disciplines of engineering to function since the inception of KRCT, Trichy. Ever since its establishment, it serves to be the birth place of vibrant technical and managerial professionals.

The Department now enjoys the responsibility of double in-take through TNEA single window counselling, admitting 140 meritorious students with the purpose of preparing the students technically and technologically, cultivating in them the right balance of edification, creating an industrial exposure all the way.

The Department is fledged with 24 high prolific teaching faculties along with 10 non-teaching staff members who lay great emphasis on the core rudiments and principles, with tests premeditated in a way, where those fundamentals are reflected industrially. The brilliant state of the art facilities and advanced pristine lab equipment’s also helps in creating an industrial oriented atmosphere. A Central Library is also furnished holding over 4206 reference books and 750 end semester project reports.

To enhance the knowledge of the students, a number of technical events, guest lectures and seminars are decorated by eminent personalities from NIT’s, IIT’s, Industrial persons from our country were organized under MECON and SAE collegiate clubs. The department has collaborated with nearly 25 companies in and around Tamil Nadu. To its crown, a International level conference, national level technical extravaganza SYMPOKRCT and Various workshops offer an example every year, welcoming all the engineering freaks from across the country to celebrate their passion for this scintillating art of engineering.

The Department provides ample laboratory facilities and hands-on training to the Undergraduate students both in the conventional subject and in the emerging fields of specialization.
